Church

With a chancel dating back to the mid-14th Century, the St Andrew and St Mary Church is a charmingly picturesque building set back from the road that runs through the centre of the village. Proud of its eclectic range of worshippers, from Roman Catholics to Quakers, the parish prides itself on allowing all branches of the Christian faith to practice beneath its roof.

Other areas of the church were added to the structure later, as the village grew and the number of parishioners multiplied. The nave and the Tower were added in the 15th Century, with the south aisle added as late as the 1800s.

Within the grounds of the Church stands the village war memorial, commemorating those residents who gave their lives in the two World Wars.
